Annings Extractive Industry 'Reids Pit'

The subject development is ‘Designated’ and ‘Integrated’ development and notification is in accordance with Councils Community Participation Plan 2019.
“Regional Development” under Clause 7(a) of Schedule 7 of the State Environment Planning Policy (SEPP) (State and Regional Development) 2011.
The Proposal would comprise:
• Extraction of up to 500 000tpa of granite rock material for a period of up to 30 years;
• Processing of that material to produce products required for road and railway construction, particularly the Inland Rail Project, and other construction projects;
• Transportation of the extracted material from the Project Site; and • continued use of ancillary activities including site infrastructure and construction of water management structures.
• Extraction operations would use standard drill and blast techniques to extract granite. Free dig extraction of clay would also occur for use in blending.
